Leak from bellhouse

On my way to CA and have about two more hours. I stopped to get fuel and noticed a clear liquid (maybe clutch fluid) pouring out from what I can tell my bellhouse. turn the truck off and nothing soon as the motor turns over a steady stream. any ideas?[verymad]

If the slave cylinder was leaking clutch fluid it wouldn't care if the engine was running or not, also its reservoir is very small and you wouldn't get a steady stream for very long, so I think you can rule out the clutch hydraulics. Double check the fluid level in the clutch reservoir to be sure.

My guess would be a fuel leak from the fuel return hose that runs across the top of the bell housing on its way from the engine. (I am assuming your truck is a 94-98 12 valve.) The hose is hard to see but if you lay on top of the engine and look at the rear of it, you can see the pressure and return hoses. The return is known for weathering and leaking.
You'll need about 18" of 5/16" diesel-resistant hose, and two fuel hose clamps, if this is the case. And sorry, it's a bugger to change.

I found the leak. It was one of the lines running across the top. Small section of aluminum tube rubbed down making a tiny hole. Thanks for the help![coffee]
