Keeps blowing headlight

Anyone had the experience or know why my 06 2500 would keep blowing the passenger headlight? I've been through 5 already on the right side, none on the left. Doesn't matter if it's the stock halogen or the Silverstar. I haven't put a meter on it yet, but I suspect over voltage. Is there a regulator or something in this circuit?

Thanks.

Does the lens have a leak or crack that's allowing water inside?

I don't think so...everything is dry when I replace the bulb. I should also say that I am careful not to touch the glass on the bulb when replacing.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

Is there any part of the headlamp assembly that is a bit loose that could cause the bulb to shake around? (vibrate) I can't see an over voltage in on part of the circuit. If that happens it will tend to be an over voltage everywhere. My guess is that eventually you will discover that it is excessive movement of the bulb that is causing the problem.

Agree.
An intermittant connection will kill bulbs.
Had it happen on a car once. Kept burning out 1 headlight until I found the loose connection.

I will try to look at the wiring this weekend (hopefully). I'm pretty sure it's not vibration, as I changed the bulb this morning, and everything is tight, and the bulb mount is actually isolated by a grommet type thing, so even really rough roads (which I do drive on) shouldn't really affect it too much. Also, the filament isnt broken, like I would expect from vibration.

Turns out it is a bad connection at the plug. The bulbs are actually good, but the contact is weak with the bulb pins. Now gotta see how much for the female connector half...
