Unhappy Help!! Truck just died

I have a 01 Dodge 2500 with a few mods. Well, yesterday I left my house, got about a mile down the road and it died. We towed it home, started it up, and it sounds like it is running on 2 cylinders. The fuel pressure is fine, around 16 or so. I did fill it up about 50 miles before it decided to die. When I checked the codes, it came up 1694 and 17something, dont remember right now, will have to check when I get back home. Any suggestions???

Thanks in advance

About 1 1/2 years ago, I had to have that sensor replaced. I hope that is it.

Maybe the fill up wasn't diesel.

It's run for a while, belch a few time and keep running poorly until it won't pull itself with gasoline in you diesel engine.

well, unless the pump lied to me...lol It ran good for awhile, then I pulled out and it just quit. You can start it, but it sounds like it's a lawnmower or something. I guess I will check the fuel first, then go from there.

Do you have any DTC's ? Possibly a VP-44 or you picked up some trash, Whats your current fuel pressure?

Air in lines? My CRD Liberty would do that every once in a while and I'd have to crack the injectors. Ended up lemon lawing that one too!

Well, cracked injectors and hardly any fuel was coming out. Checked codes again and had a new code p0122, p1765, and the 1693. Could it be a electronic fuel shut off switch, bc someone suggested that. I have fuel in the high pressure line leading to the injector pump, still have around 16 lbs pressure according to the Edge. Couldnt get it to start.

You may be looking at a ECM or PCM. I've got a tester that takes the VP-44 control away from the ECM. I see your in nc, I'll be glad to help anyway i can!

SYMPTOM
P1765-TRANSMISSION 12 VOLT SUPPLY RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT

WHEN MONITORED
Continuously with the key ON.

SET CONDITION
This code will set if the voltage detected on the Transmission Relay Control circuit at the PCM is different than the expected voltage for 3 seconds .

POSSIBLE CAUSES

Transmission control relay
Intermittent trans 12 volt supply relay
Generator source circuit open
Generator source circuit shorted to ground
Transmission relay control circuit open
Transmission relay control circuit shorted to ground
PCM - Trans relay

SYMPTOM
P0122-ACCELERATOR POSITION SENSOR (APPS) SIGNAL VOLTAGE TOO LOW

WHEN MONITORED
During engine running operation.

SET CONDITION
Low voltage detected at APPS signal circuit or low voltage detected between the Engine Control Module (ECM) and the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) .

POSSIBLE CAUSES

APPS signal circuit shorted to ECM sensor ground
APPS supply circuit open
ECM (APPS) to PCM (APPS) circuit open
APPS signal circuit shorted to ECM sensor ground
APPS signal circuit shorted to ground
PCM (APPS) short to engine block (ground)
Powertrain Control Module
Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor
Engine Control Module
PCM (APPS) Shorted To ECM sensor ground

well, found unplugged wire from the previous day, and that cleared the 0122 code. Got it to start but still runs rough.

Is the 16psi fuel pressure you have AFTER the filter? If not perhaps the filter is almost plugged from stuff in the new fuel.

Very good posibility! It's hard to get good fuel!

I don't know if it is before or after the filter, I was going by the gauge and I dont know where it monitors from. I have a diesel tech coming by Sun. to look at it, since I dont know much about it. We did crack the injectors and they kinda acted like they were airlocked or something.

Change the fuel filter.... I'll bet you got some bad fuel.
