HELP no lock up P2127

Hey guys I went and installed my co pilot and now it won't lockup either with the box in or with the box bypassed. I can make it lock up manually by grounding out the wire but thats it. I'm getting the code P2127 (Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch E Circuit Low Input) ATS says thats the APPS sensor and it could be bad. I was thinking though is there not a way to adjust the voltage on the APPS and if so would that work and how do I go about doing it. Thanks for all the help.
