HELP!! I got codes! 1693, 0236, and 0237
Thanks for the reply!
I reset the apps. When I took the neg. terminals off they were very corroded. Could easily have been insulating some volts.
Anyway, after resetting apps, the truck is running just like it used to. I still show codes though.... Is there a way to wipe the codes?

I went through this about 25,000 miles ago and I am currently at 186,000. The problem was the throttle position sensor and my mistake was I first changed out the lift pump when it was working fine. So went to local shop who read the codes which came up throttle position sensor which is nothing more then a pot = variable resistance device used to show exactly where the throttle pedal is located to the engine ECM with the proportionate amount of fuel to deliver.
Again I thought I was doing something by going to local Cummins dealer to supply the replacement throttle position sensor located under the plastic cover above the fuel pump. They issued a three cable device when I needed a four cable device (Be advised since some of the cables clip in to the replacement connectors) for the 2nd generation 02 I have. Took it back and two weeks later got the refund mailed to me - use plastic in the future. Went to most honorable dodge dealer who sold me the correct part and then performed the remove and replace(Be advised you will need to connect everything up turn the key on and not start the engine. Gently go from no throttle to 100% of throttle and back to no throttle with in 60 seconds in order to allow the engine ECM to read the resistance) then turn the key off.
Once completed start the truck and unit operation should be ok without much of an issue. Good thing out of this test of patientce is that I have a spare lift pump under the bench seat at the ready when the other one fails.
