HELP!!! Dad put 9 gallons of premium in the 2500...

Ok... so my dad calls a few minutes ago, hes up in the mountains with the 2500... he accidentally pumped 9 gallons of premium gasoline into it...

He hasn't started it yet or anything, so I figured his best bet would be find some hose and little pump and pump as much fuel out of the tank as he can, and then fill it back up with diesel and add a little power service?

If ya'll could get back to me fast and let me know that would be great.

Yeah... get out what you can, then run diesel again. I've seen trucks run with that much gas in them, and the rest of the tank diesel, but I would not reccomend it. If you get it all out, I would not sweat it.

i would tow it to your house and drain the tank completely.... maybe use the mixed fuel to start bonfires for a while.

When I did that I unhooked the fuel line at the filter and cycled the lift pump repeatedly until I got out about 10 gals. I put a large drip pan under and emptied onto a bucket. Spilled a gal or so but no big environmental problem. Filled up with diesel, 145000 miles later, no problem.

A buddy of mine accidentally poured gas instead of kerosene into his winter diesel mix in a john deere 4430 tractor, he ran it for a few minutes and realized what he had done, he drained the tank and changed the filters, that has been over two years ago and they havent had any problems with it since.

Hey well it wasn't me who did it! I always double check the pump I am using .

He says he got most of it drained, filled up the tank, and has filled up often when he passes a diesel station on the way home, so it looks like all is good. Thanks for the quick reply ya'll!

Put in a couple of gallons of two stroke or detergent free 30wt and top it off with diesel and drive it.... it was only 9 gallons.
