HELP 2003 No Start
Im in the same thing right here. I am having the same problem with my 03 right now. I got a 196,xxxkm on mine and it turns over slow in the morning(used to have my EGT gauge right to the battery so one might be a bit more drained than the other.) But i dont think mine is injectors, as i had this problem before and it was batteries. Im just gonna go buy some and try that and if its fine tommorow morning, then i know the problem is solved. But only time will tell. It only takes about 4 or 5 turns to start the motor thats y i dont think its an injector as no haze or n e thing.
Your batteries can test good in a static test, but still be breaking down under load. Go to a local auto parts store, and check the cranking amps; that will tell you if you have a bad battery or a dragging starter. Also, are you running bio more than 20%? Biodiesel more than 20% sometimes causes hard starting in cool or cold conditions. Bio is a definite no-no in cold weather. Good luck.
I thought I had fixed my problem but it came back yesterday. Temp was 65 deg but my truck would not start untill I plugged the block heater in for about a hour. I still dont have any white smoke or rough idle but I have convinced the wife I need injectors.
I will be ordering a set in the next two weeks. I just hope that solves the no start problem when it is cold.
