heated seat broken
heated seat broken
hey guys the drivers side heated seat isn't coming on the light on the high side flashes when i try to turn it on high or low. any help would be greatly appreciated
I don't know if 2nd gens are the same, but for 3rd gens high switch flashing and low switch off indicates open circuit in the heating element.
It sounds like you can verify by taking an ohm meter reading on the terminals for the heating element on the effected seat. The book suggests moving the cushion around while doing this, since the problem could be intermittent.
The book says the heating element can't be removed without damaging the cushion, but that the replacement part is designed to be installed over the original heating element.

i know this is an old thread but is it possible to put an aftermarket heated seat my truck i am not talking about taking out the whole seat just inserting a non dodge brand heated seat into the existing seat
I don't know anything about them, but Geno's has these...
