Head Leak?

Thought my seal on thermostat was leaking, replaced it, and still have some Antifreeze comming out by the head bolt in that location by thermostat houseing. Anyone ever see this, did a pressure test and yes there are some bubbles there in that area.

Motor does lose some fluid now, but never has gotten real hot.

So anything I should look for, or just go at a new head gasket?

Anything I should update while doing this head gasket, IE Head Bolts?

By my sig you can tell I love my truck and no head gasket is keeping me away from using it and keeping it, Im shooting for at least a million.

Thanks For all your help in advance.

Sounds like the gasket. You will need new bolts for sure (cummins bolts are 1 time use only) and need to get the head resurfaced. With that many miles on the head it might be time for a rebuild.

Here are some things that slowed me down on my first head gasket change. The rear pushrods can only be removed though a whole in the cowl (there is a rubber plug in there now) This took me a little bit to figure out. Also dont forget to take off your colant temp sensor. Its at the back of the head on the drivers side and its a pain to get to. Also many people use an engine hoist to pull off the head, that sucker is really heavy!

Good luck!
