Hard starting on Hill....

I park my truck, 99 24v 2500 cummins, on a hill, with the front facing up the hill. when i'm parked like this sometimes the truck take a little while to start.
My concern is that the lift pump may have taken a ****, and secondly, now i'm abusing the injection pump and that will prolly take a dump.
On flat ground I havne't had any problems starting. It eventually starts on the hill, but sometimes I have to try starting it like 2 or 3 times and pump the pedal. Other times i just crank and after three seconds or so it fires.
I had to replace the inj pump last dec, and it still has a warrenty on it.
I'm gonna try to get some codes tomorrow, just seeing what you guys think.
Josh

First try parking with the eng downhill. If there is a change I would suspect the lift pump. Also does this change with the tank full as compared with 1/4 tank? Has the fuel filter been changed lately? Lift pumps have a history of failure! I would certainly check the lift pump output pressure first! Good luck

Is there a time fram involved? If it takes a while to hard start, say like over night, then I would suspect a possible air leak in the fuel line allowing the return of the primed fuel? Just a thought.
