We put those 3/8 washers like mention in a previous post in the governer springs to shim them. Now for some reason when you rev the truck up it dont want to idle back down???? Any ideas.

How thick were the washers? Are you sure you got the adjuster nuts back to the same tension? Try backing off the adjusters a couple clicks.

Correct, but don't back out so far as to leave a loose retainer. That will be fatal to your IP.
