I had some work done on my 12valve, and they left the U-joints loose! The front came loose and broke the bolts off, spit out the yoke onto the street, and flailed wildly until I could get it out of 4x

Question is, it cracked the transfer case at about 2" above the drain plug; I have a spare t-case 175 miles away. Could I silicone the crack, fill it up, and hope like crazy for that long?

2nd ?- are the t-case from a 96 cummins auto and 98 cummins auto the same?
