IT DIED in stephenville, tx

driving down the road and the thing quit running, like it had no go-go juice.

5 days ago: died on the highway pulling bout 10k lbs but i thought it was out of fuel, the fuel guage has been real crazy and read 5/8. I added 5 gallons of fuel bled the lines and a little starting fluid, away we went..........no big deal....not the first time my fuel guage has decieved me and left me stranded on the side of the road.

2 days ago: died as i pulled in the driveway from a 100 mile trip, about 11k lbs on the back, i was close to empty acording to milage although the guage read 1/2, so i did the same routine, bleed lines starting fluid, running again.

today: 105 miles since completely filled tank, guage reads 7/8. (its got fuel)driving in town, no load. IT DIES AGAIN. midnight and im tired, ready to go home, so a buddy tows me to walmart parking lot. can hear lift pump running, seems fine. starting fluid got her to going but she only idles and it is EXTREMELY rough idle. codes on dash: P1693 only. was playing with it earlier today, revved it up in the parking lot, and it sort of coughed rather than the nice VROOM. is it the vp?

will test lift pump in morning, anything you guys would try? would O'rielly auto parts be able to test the vp44? fuel not dripping on ground or anything that i could see.
if im looking for a new vp44 any body know where i can get one around stephenville, maybe dallas ftworth?

The only way I have ever heard of testing the vp is to remove it and bench test it and no an auto parts store would not have the equipment. If it coughed and such makes me believe the electronics in the vp are fried. I bet the lp shot also.

My truck did that a few times would be running good then just die. I finally figured out that the lift would work for awhile then quit, work for awhile then quit.
