So,,let's just say using the oil would somewhat restrict the filter. By using Meaner Cleaner, or something of the sort, would it thin out the oil in the filter and make everything all better again.

Not true...

2 cycle oil will not plug up your filters... Here is my filter after 12K miles and a sample of my fuel from the filter housing...

I would check you fuel source first before the 2 cycle oil...

That was more of a hypathetical question.

Tranny fluid is not designed to burn therefore it doesn't mix or burn near as well as the 2 stroke oil. The test results from the Diesel place's study showed the 2 stroke oil to be superior to most all of the aftermarket lube enhancers. With 2% bio-diesel being the best thing for lubrication. I run B-10 with 16 ozs of tcw-3 in it. The truck idles smoother and is much quieter. As for the brand of TCW-3 I use the wally world Supertech in the gallon jug. TCW-3 is marine grade and is ashless.

Now that is something I'll even vote for!

2 Cycle oil and Bio diesel is a good blend for lubricity. (Insert -> Thumb Up Smiley)

But blending with a fuel additive, fuel cleaner, or ATF spells trouble...

I dropped the tank to install one of the large competition style draw straws and it was like trying to catch a greased pig. That mixture felt slicker to the touch than synthetic engine oil.

I have been using Super Tech TC-W3 in my tank for about a year now. Been mixing on average 3/4 oz per gallon of fuel. I am now increasing it to one oz. per gallon because of a rash of injectors failing on the '03s. I think the failures are linked to the ULSD and the standard 10 micron fuel filters.

I was concerned, because the ULSD was having the lubrication added after it is delevered, that some fuel might not get the lubrication added or enough to bring the fuel up to the minimum lubrication needed.

I am now wondering what the fuel manufacturers are using to increase the lubrication of the ULSD. Anyone know?

EXACTLY the reason I keep using Supertech TCW3 from Walmart at 16oz per fill up is the possibility of getting "dry" ULSD.

I initially thought my engine was quieter, and thought I was getting better mileage. Neither is probably happening, but that ain't about to stop me!

Even more scary to know that todays fuel doesn't meet the HFRR specs and most additives don't deal with the lack of lubricity...

So I would rather add a lubricant to the fuel and know that my expensive baby is well taken care of than gambling with fuel additives that don't do as they are suppose too...

I've had nothing but good things since using 2 stroke!!
Michael is the one that convinced me to run it.

Now imagine if the test was done with good fuel (<520 HFRR) and at the ratio I use (128:1 - 1 oz of oil to 1 gallon of fuel) it would of passed both standards easy!

Better yet it would of beat the common additives for sure...

I run Super Tech basically because it does a decent job and I can get it without jumping through any hoops.

When biodiesel comes to my hometown, I'll start using it.

Your lucky...

I've got to be a bit more cautious about when I can use BIO diesel. BIO has a tendency to gel much faster that normal diesel fuel. There has been problems with that in the northern states. But since your in Texas your not going to have that many problems...

But something to consider when getting BIO diesel when it does come to you...

Effect of poor BIO diesel on your Injection pumps...
