colder weather operation

I'm heading to Amarillo this afternoon, Temps are a little bit cooler there than where I am at. Will it help to keep the engine temp up around the 190 degree mark or does it make any difference? I have noticed that my Temp runs considerably cooler right now. Just curious [undecided]

Re:colder weather operation

You should not have any problems as long as your anti freeze is mixed for the winter weather. Your temperature gauge will go up and down as your thermostat opens and closes.

It doesn't hurt it to run a little cooler. If you care to, you can slide a piece of cardboard between the intercooler and radiator and block off some of the radiator. That will help keep temps up if it gets cold enough for you to get concerned about temps being too low. Mine has a big diamond shap cut out in the center so if the fan cuts on, it can pull air through the radiator. I have only used a cover probably three times.
