pulled the codes out of truck finally p0251,p0252,p1688,p1689
can find what 1688 means and do all of these together mean it's the vp
this is referencing "idle but won't take any throttle"sorry could not figure out how to put the other post here to,

P1688 Internal Fuel Injection Pump Controller Failure
P1689 No Communication Between ECM & Injection Pump Module
P0251 Fuel Injection Pump Mechanical Failure Fuel valve Feedback Circuit
Couldn't find the 0252, but most codes in the 200 area code are fuel or intake related.
I'd say you are lucky enough to have a dead or dying VP44.
