Have a 2001 with 6 spd trans, lately the check engine lite comes on when the e-brake is turned on. goes away after a few starts and seems to run ok otherwise. did have oil in the air cleaner box once, but wouldn't think its related to the e-brake.<br><br>anyone with an idea on the lite?

 

Re Check the wires you are using for power seems like a wireing issue. Some people get the wires confused for instance white over orange or orange over white when working on these trucks which is a common error both combinations are available in the harness. Some people will use the first one they find (White and Orange wire) hope this helps solve your problem. ???
