used plug on oil filter head to check oil pressure.<br>must of overtightend and now cracked at plug boss.<br>can this be welded or do i need a new one? if so any idea how much new one costs

 

I don't know how much, but I'd try both DC and Cummins for a price check.

 

While you are waiting, clean the crack well, and use JB Weld.<br>Keep an eye on things, though.

cleaned and jb welded it and ordered new filter head/oil cooler cover ($67 not bad), oil filter bypass valve, and gaskets. ups came today but the cummins guy forgot to send the gaskets &gt;
should have them tomorrow. jb weld seems to be holding up.
