Brookings Oregon broke down

Well I'm broke down in brookings or and I am from Colorado on my way back. I have a standard hand tool set but no vacuum pump or vacuum pump rebuild kit waiting for stores to open in the morning if you have a garage or a lead on a vacuum pump let me know at 970 433 1026 I'll be forever grateful, is there a quick fix to stopping the massive motor oil leak that comes out between the vacuum boost and the power steering pump?

It's not a quick fix, but it's fairly easy. You'll need the rebuild kit as it replaces the gasket with a new dual-lip gasket that goes on both sides of the groove worn into your vacuum pump shaft. It took three of us about 4hrs with regular hand tools and a few beer breaks.

You may also want to drop a PM to ramlovingvet...I think he lives in Brookings and may be able to give you a better lead on repair parts...

You've got a Cummins dealer 125 miles away in Medford, OR at:

5742A Crater Lake Ave
Central Point, OR 97502
Local: 406-728-1300
Toll-Free: 800-937-0336

You can also go 103 miles south to Arcata Cummins:

5150 Boyd Rd.
Arcata, CA 95521
Local: (707) 822-7390
Fax: (707) 822-7585
Toll Free: (800) 595-5050

Regular Hours of Operation
Monday-Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Closed Saturday and Sunday

After hours Parts and Service
24 hours a day, 365 days a year (707) 822-7390

Without the vacuum pump repair kit, I don't think there's a way to fix the leak, especially not for the 1500 mile drive you've got to get back to Colorado.
