Braking problems

I replaced my abs speed sensor on the rear end and the one on the tranny. the abs light and brake light are still one and now the speedo is dancing.

the truck will not shift out of 1st or 2nd.

I checked all the wires they look fine

what now

Trying to fix ABS brakes without the scan codes can get expensive. Have your ABS system scanned with a DRB II scanner, and then follow the codes to the problem. The usual problem is either a fuse, loose terminal connector at the controller, the harness connector down underneath the master cylinder, a connector on one of the the speed sensors, or the brake light switch under the dash is failing or that connector is corroded. However, because the ABS is interconnected to the PCM, the front brake combination valve sticking or a general controller failure can also cause the tach to bounce if the system is not sensing properly.

All the above will/can also cause the automatic tranmission to hang in the lower gears because the electronic governor signal is confused.
