Another wont start when warm

Ok here it goes. If I get in in the morning she starts on the first crank. But if I stop any where and turn her off It takes acouple of cranks and me pressing the throttle a little to get it started again. It also starts first crank after work which is about 9 hours of sitting,(cooled off I am assuming).
Now last night I was leaving a side job and could barely get her started. and the only code on the dash being flashed is the same code that has been ther forever. Ive never cleared it out. Its 1693.
I know about all of the vp44 problams and that is why I did the fass and injectors. This way I only use the TsT box when needed. Getting somewhere to get the codes read and cleared is'nt easy for me, the dealers are all closed by the time I'm done working. . So Vp44 or apps sensor?
Any help would be appriciated.....Jay....

It's a long shot, but weak batteries caused me to have hard start problems. Two new Interstates and no more problems.

Thanks crobtex, I have replaced my batteries not even a year ago. Interstates also.
My gut tells me it is the vp44. I am going to try to get to the dealer near me on monday if they are open.

It is your VP44, just replaced mine, it was doing the exact same thing.

Replacing the VP44 isn't bad, the pocket book part is what hits the hardest.

Well that is the answer I was not looking for . But I guess it is time for the hotrod vp44. Where should I get one and what is the hp output with them? Ill get rid of the tst box if the hp is close to the same.
