Coming up the road, all of my engine lights suddenly lit up. No charging seems to be going on, I thought it was the belt blew, but it is still there. I found what looks to be a wire from a crank trigger of some sort is sliced off like it came in contact with said belt. Would this make the thing think that the engine is messed up and kill the power forom the alternator? I will have to try and get it apart and fix it if possible since I am out of town now and wll need to get home Sunday. Any help will be appreciated

 

Yes, losing signal from that sensor, the voltage regulator portion of the PCM will turn off charging, since it thinks the engine is no longer running.
