94 lift pump primer

Does any one know if the plastic primer assy. is available as a separate unit from the lift pump it self.Had a small leak coming from the plunger area ,tried to remove it without taking liftpump assy. from engine ended up breaking it.Seached a couple of parts sites they list the pump but don't list the primer.

Only part of the lift pump that is available separately is the o-ring that seals the plunger. Sorry if my previous advice contributed to your breaking it..

Thumbs up

no big deal,I tried to cheat by not removing starter and liftpump assy. from truck.I was doing it outside laying on the ground in the snow, and well i just should have not tried to take a short -cut.Stopped by local truck garage, they do lots of B-series equipped UPS trucks, they had a low miles, used lift-pump assy.they let me have it NC.(sweet) I only wanted the diaphram assy to repair mine but they hooked me up. live and learn,Appreciate your help anyhow.JD

Went to reinstall the lift pump Mon. and discovered the fuel temp. sensor was all fallin' apart .the sensor is not available sepparately from the fuel heater had to buy a new assy. from dodge 180.00 ouch. talking to diesel mech. told me it's a fairly common deal.so after 1day and 3 nights of monkeyin' around in the snow and cold,my rig is back!
