I have been noticing a lack in power and milage in my 92'. Through further inspection I noticed that the exhaust somehow got pinched between the axle and body. Could this explain my loss in power? Will any damage happen If I remove the tailpipe(after the muffler back) untill I can get a anew one? Has anyone else had this problem?<br>

 

I think you'll be fine removing the tailpipe until you get a new one.... some people might even say to get rid of the muffler while your down there... ;D

 

Get this.. That pinch is STOCK from the factory. <br><br>Any aftermarket tailpipe is an upgrade. You can get some nice mandrel bent stuff through Walker/Dynomax. They have a mandrel 3&quot; replacement or you can go whole hog and order there # 54150 4&quot; tail pipe and fit that in there.. <br><br>My BOMB funds were used up on other things, otherwise I was getting (already ordered) the 4&quot; tailpipe..<br><br>J-eh

 

Took the sawzall to mine behind the muffler. If this is a recent power loss, check your intercooler fittings, make sure the exhaust is tight at the turbo, and might check valve lash if it hasn't been done in a while.
