2002 HO with Edge EZ on the low setting. Temp is 33 degrees, it rained hard today. Shows following codes

My son is home on leave and took the truck tonight, it has been running great and just turned over 114k. He just called, he stopped somewhere, came out and it started but died when he pulled out of the parking lot. He coasted into the next lot. He had tried several times to start it and it kept dieing. Once he called me, he got it to start and it idled lumpy. He could rev it to about 1800 and it wanted to die again. Fuel pressure looks good, the same as it has been for years. He babied it and got it off the street.

He is going to try to disconect the Edge box. What should we be looking for? I just had both hands operated on so I won't be much help to him.

Suspect you should be looking for a VP44. JMHO

Well, I got it over to my sisters house, unhooked edge, still the same. Unhooked the batteries and let it sit for a couple hours, came back, hooked 'em up and did the throttle position reset sequence. Ran great after that, good all the way home here. I checked it again after I got in the driveway just for the heck of it and I still had all of the above codes with the addition of an 0234. However, the check engine light wasn't on and it was running fine...

 

Now I am a bit concerned about going very far in it. How reliable will it be? Nothing was actually fixed.
