I am looking at buying 3500 4x4 5 speed 140000. I was wondering if any one know of any problems that i should look for befor getting it? Also does any one know if there is a way to check the LP with out outting a pressure gauge on it? Any thing would help.

the best is to put a gauge on it. nexted thing that can be done open up the water drain on the fuel filter with truck running and see if it sprays or dribbles or the truck stalls. if sprays it good. never said it wasn't messy . but it works in a pinch. also rember 5 speeds have the 5th gear problem but no worrys just don't lug the motor with trailer below 1600 rpm drop it in to 4th. fill out where your at maybe another member would be willing to take a look see with ya . later cole
If you're looking at 2000 and later, you'll need a lift pump fuel pressure gauge anyway so a trip to your local chain type auto parts store or Harbor Freight for their fuel pressure test kit will help you sort out the good from the bad or at least get you some barganing room. Stock spec is no less than 10 psi at idle at the injector pump although most here run 15 psi idle.
