12v Lift Pump Leak

I noticed a small puddle of fuel underneath my truck yesterday, after closer inspection I found there to be a small crack in the bottom side of the lift pump that was leaking. I have "rigged" it up right now with a hose clamp, a couple zip ties, and a rag wrapped around it to try and slow down the leak ( I know its not the best fix but ya gotta do what ya gotta do sometimes). I need to get a new one as soon as possible. Where is the best place to get one and are there any kind of heavy duty or larger aftermarket versions available? I had someone tell me that it could be removed and replaced with a FASS but I am not to familiar with that and really dont have $500 to spend on one. I am going to school right now and do a lot of commuting so economy is my goal and funds are kinda tight so the cheaper the better. I need to get this fixed asap so any input you guys have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think you read that wrong Dave...hes saying the FASS is $500. Strokerace, you definitely dont need a FASS and you can pick up a lift pump for $145-170 give or take a few bucks.

Scratch that - I found one for you for CHEAP - Try here: http://www.pensacoladiesel.com/index...ategory_id=194

It says its for a 94-98 5.9L Cummins - how could that be a 4bt?

I just e-mailed them - we will see what the part number is.

I can wait a little while, I was just wanting to have it here by this weekend so I could get her going again, It should only take three days to get here UPS so if its the right one I can order it tommorow and it will be here in plenty of time. I have to be away from my computer for a while, (have to go to welding class) but I'll be back on in a couple hours. Thanks Again

Used to be that Cummins charged over $125 for a lift pump but a few months ago they lowered the price to $79 for the exact same pump.

I beleive I made a mistake on 2nd look that 80$ pump is a carter not a delphi

80$ just seemed too good to be the real Mckoy

mine was over 170$ at cummins
