I always park along the side of the building where no one hardly ever parks because it's usually in the shade. Don't know why more people don't do it.

i park as far away from the building enterance as possable to avoid door dings.

as for parking between the lines, i will sometimes do that with the cubevan i drive at my 2nd job when i pull into the stores parking lot to load up stuff. i parked one time [i was between my lines] so that there was 2" between my box on the van and the yuppies mirror [she was over the line]. i took my time loading up the van [like 30 min] and she wouldn't/couldn't move her car [little yota corrola for her 300# self ]

i also do the same thing when i go to the other store in a busy oriental mall. when i park at the loading dock, if there are cars parked there illigally in my way, i make sure to block them in and take my time there and go have lunch or wander the mall looking at all the eye candy there

i have no respect for other drivers that show no respect in how they operate their vehicles [parked or driving]

I try not to park next to anyone unless unavoidable. I did learn my lesson though, as within the first two weeks of owning my new truck someone at the airport decided to grace me with two beautiful door dings. Actually, I should be calling one of them a door "dent" since it’s so large. Ugh!

I do have a question though. This is my first Dodge truck and was wondering if they all *dent* this easy? It may just be me, but it sure seems like the sheet metal is much thinner than my other vehicles?

You should own a Toyota "truck"... THEN you'll see what thin metal is about. I had a '01 Tacoma before the Ram, and the metal, especially in the bed area, was really thin... Like - lean-on-it-and-it-dents thin.

One night @ work we had a bad hail storm the toyotas were baddly damaged ...major repair was required. chevys had a couple casulties also. but my dodge was spotless I loved it.
there was a toy on either side of me and when we went out to see the damage the toy owner was more P>O>'d that my truck was spotless,,,,,, than the damage done to their rides.
Then I ststed that if they had a real truck a little bit of ice wont hurt it.
