You All Can Park Beside Me Anytime
You All Can Park Beside Me Anytime
I noticed that when I enter a large parking lot and I see a fellow cummins truck I tend to park beside him
no real reasoning except
Hes so wise for purchaceing the cummins that I trust he wont hit my truck with his doors
We real trucks need to stick together
When he exits the store he'll probly chuckle that there another cummins beside him when there were plenty of empty spots closer to the store.
Does anyone else use these tactics
OR am I

Since I have a dually I'm usually out in the middle of nowhere because it won't fit between two cars and most of the spaces are too short anyway. I've only had one opportunity to park next to another Cummins, and I did it so I guess I'm
too.

At my home command there are about 6 cummins that work in my building and we all are always parked next to one another. usually all crooked about 45*because our parking lot alleys are so small!
6 in a row every morning at sun up is a beautiful thing!

I can't stand when people blow their nose in a restaurant or open their door into my vehicle. I park as far away from other vehicles as possible. But I will park next to another nice truck if it looks like he also takes care of it.

People see my beast and the spaces next to it tend to stay vacant (bought it from a concrete contractor). But if you feel you need to park next to a Cummins, I'm sure it would make a good shield for you.

I'm a little differant.....because my truck shows signs of abuse "mostly by me" door dings don't have much impact on my truck....and I love tight parking spots because I back my truck in "staying between the lines" that way the guy on my drivers side can't use his door to get in if he parked too close to the line
I watched one very "large man" trying to crawl over his center console from the passenger side to get into the drivers seat it was fun watching.....but he parked 3" over the line and had no respect for others that parked next to him

Hannible: blowing noses in a restaurant is nasty...i had an "old" guy with swamp nose gargle up something once and actually throw the old rag over his shoulder and land in my friends' plate of food..

That's completely mean, taking up every ounce of space..
I was at the airport and parked in the garage. I parked as close as I could to the pillar, so I wouldn't have to worry about door dings. I come back and find a suburban paked so close I cannot fit between the two cars to get in. I had to crawl in from the back door, over the console/seat into my drivers side.
Needless to say, I left an etching with my key. Not a flattering set of words. The oblivious nature of some people deserves to be returned. If they don't care about their property, park that close to me. There were plenty of other spaces, they just had to be 4 feet closer...

My parking lot rule has always been: Never park next to a vehicle that is in worse shape than yours. With my dually I always park out far from the building. Gives me a little extra exercise walking to the building.
I try to park where at least one side of my truck is protected by an island or a column in a parking garage or something. I figure that reduces my chance of getting door dings by 50%. If I can't do that I usually either park out a little ways by my lonesome or try to find a spot that is plenty wide.
I won't ever fight for any front spot... I head out to the safer zone... usually where the people that like their vehicles park... I don't mind parking next to (usually 1 spot over from) a fellow Cummins owner or even a nice Ford truck... NEVER park near the grocery getter's!!
