25 100# = 2500lb of orchard grass hay I haul this and a little more all the time. Truck dont squat hardly at all. I had all ready threw 6 off when I fed the horses. You can load hay nice n tight if you go six on the bottom on edge then 5 on each side for wings and you can throw some down the center to tie it all in together.

Doing masonry means everything for me is heavy. The heaviest yet was when I had about half to 3/4 of a 5 tread high brick step in the back. The bed was pretty much full with brick and mortar. It made me wish for a dually with 19.5's because I would've took it all at once instead of two pretty long trips to my dump site.

I am not real sure, but the reason I noted that it was wet, is so some know it all wouldn't say that ain't 6300# The answer to your question is NO! The dry sand is heavier
I know it looks dry in the picture, but after about 36 miles the top dries off pretty good. The sand was so wet, that water was running out of the bed when it was loaded.

I did 3000 lbs of deer corn this past weekend. I could barely tell it was back there except for that fact that it rode so much better!

I once had 500 gal of water behind my tool box in the bed, so most of the weight was behind the rear axle, lets just say my rear hitch was only about 8 in off the ground lol. also the front bumper was about 2 ft off the ground lol

No they are the same. 6300 pounds of wet sand is the same as 6300 pounds of dry sand. They are both 6300 pounds. That’s like saying what’s heaver 500 pounds of water or 500 pounds of metal.

30k gross combine hauled for over 3 hours. I pull this load all the time just not for 3hours. a comment of subject:6 speeds rock when you are pulling heavy!!! You feel much more in control. i love when i am hooked to a heavy load with the 6speed and let up on the clutch the whole truck twists like a big rig its pure cummins power at it finest. the truck twists like this all the way thru 3rd.

86 landscape blocks, one pallet (the trapezoid shaped ones). About 1720 pounds. But that was in my Dak. I had a really nice view of the sky for about 20 miles. You didnt say which truck.......

Some of the loads posted here sound like some of the mileage figures posted in other threads.

Seriously, on that trip I drove 140km from my friend's house in town, then down a logging road for about 25KM (15.5 miles), unloaded the sleds and then rode the sled 30KMs (19 miles or so) to get to the alpine. It was sweet, no one around but my buddies and I. I think I put 150kms on the sled alone that day and around 160km the next day.

Here's a pic from that day.
