Anyone know anything about these? Got a free 1980 F6 Volvo engine. Ran good till I ran it out of fuel and having a hard time trying to get it running again. Any pointers on how to reprime it?

 

I know this is an old thread but i guess you haven't solved the issue yet since i couldn't see there's no reply below. First of all i'm a newbie here and i know you're really in need of help. I guess it has something to do with the valve train positioning. if you have the fuel, the spark and the compression guess it's time to double check the valve train as well as the spark plug wiring. if any part has been damaged then, there are a lot of Volvo parts online. Hope this helps....

I guess it has a black wheel on the dieselpump,its located on the innside off the pump against the engine block, You have too loosen this wheel ( 17 or 19 mm wrench ) to get the air out off the pump, Pump the handpump so you get fuel out here, bleed the fuelfilters to
