General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

I don't think anyone is saying bow down your diesel 3/4 to a gasser 1/2 ton. The comment was the it is a very capable half ton, as is the new Chevy/GMC 1/2 ton.

Where did 12 years become 35 and then 80 years? Have a numbers problem do we? 4" = 10" also, huh?

I have always stayed out of half fact/half opinion threads. I'll go back to that now.
Don't get your panties in a bunch, if you don't want responses like what you received than stop comparing apples to oranges.

On the flipside I consider myself pretty smart because I do everything in my power to support my north american economy by purchasing all my vehicles /equipment that are manufactured here.

Speaking of smart ... How many dodge/ford/chev trucks you think they are selling in Japan ? Korea? . Probably not as many as what Toyota sells here I bet, not even close! In fact the fastest way to an income tax audit in japan is to buy a north american car/truck.
