Teach your children to start an engine...?

There aren't any safety concerns with the way this guy starts this - are there...?

Reminds me of something from my childhood. We had a JD model B that you had to start by manually turning the flywheel. I watched my old man do it many times but never noticed the choke. I must have been 7 or 8 when I figured out the choke and gave the flywheel a whirl, not expecting it to actually start, as it never had before. When the engine popped to life I bolted in sheer terror; the old man got a good laugh out of it. Anyway, back to the video; he sure is proud of that thing isn't he? I thought he was going to turn it off by holding his hand over the intake. And where's the air filter?
