Spy Pictures: Dodge 4000 Series
they have had the ram 4000 here in mexico for years!!!
(these trucks are work trucks, and not loaded! (black bumpers, i doubt they have a radio
no cruise etc)
BUT they have a cummins now!
i guess from 94! but now in 2006 they come out with the 5.9 cummins for the first time! and they dont have 3500's here!
dodge sold lots of 4000's before, then in about 200* came out the superduty with the pwrstroke! i saw that ford sold lots of trucks, cuz of beintg the only one, having diesel!. now, i see new dodges with the "C" on the fender. I think ford is guna loose now!
PS: someone bought a Ford superduty (F 550) with a v8 triton, then replaced the engine by a powerstroke, -never worked!, then he replaced the engine by a Cummins! still going strong!

I am sure that since they are now putting the Cummins in it, it's a different animal. For example the 13300 GVWR. That's more than any USA Dodge Cummins. No radio kind of sucks. AC is an option. So are cloth seats. I could dig it...

I think Dodge had an agreement with International, not to make trucks over 1 ton. And International would not build pick up trucks. I don't know for how long this agreement was to last. This might be the reason why the Dodge 4000 is not being offered in the USA> javahjoeo from Kokomo
i think the fewest mexicans keep theyre original radio in there!
most put in a cd player at least, a lot a big thunder behind the seat!
Hey, but all of those HD trucks (dodge, ford, chevy,) are not loaded.
the ford Pwrstroke, look even worse! they have a black grill, black bumpers!!!!!!!!
good that the 2500's (now in 2006 with a diesel) come loaded!!!!

You could drive to Mexico and buy one.
But they'd never let you bring it across the border.
LukeS on our board used to have an old Dodge (I think it was an A300)Tractor he was looking to sell.

Really?
those pictures were taken this side of the border....
Look at them again. U could drive it over, its not a problem, BUT legalizing it to be a US vehicle might be a little harder. Tx

See,
my uncles are in the used car lot business and the legalization process for mexican vehicle as well. Even tho it dont make any sence, this is the way it works. We are in 06 right now, the newest vehicle that can be legalized for mexico is a 1996. Most of the time they will hassle you for 8 lugs and american diesels (up until just recently) were a big no no, i never learned why. I do know tho u need deep pockets cause i have seen legalized 6.0s and newer vehicles, I dont know how those newere vehicles are legalized tho, but i do imagine it is much more expensive than the 10 year standard for the other vehicles that my uncle can legally legalize for mexico. They must also be gas engines in good running order, and its an array of paperwork. Whole process aint that expensive, but it is a headache on paperwork and on time.
Now why can we not do the inverse? EPA and NAFTA...
Tx
Shovelhead, I sold that 69' D500 last year to a guy for $300. Got tired of looking at it and didn't have time to mess with it. Worst part is, I lost the check he gave me, and I don't even remember his name or the town he lived in to find him and get another check, so basically, I gave it away.
