Speed Channel-Truck U, 10/31/10

They had a program on Cummins 6.7 2010, basic maintenace. They also had a 2001 2500 with 900k+ miles, but never said much about. I wonder how many VP44's he has and LP's. Also, any work on the motor?
The show was about 50% commercials. They did talk a bit about the variable vane turbo with exhast brake, pretty interesting. If you konow how to change oil & filters including fuel, there wsa not much there.
Anyone know about the 900k 2001 2500 & it's repair history? I am sure there are some lessons there.

Cummins news letter did a story on a 01 with 1,020,000 on it with very few repairs I think it had a couple vp44s

really? what were your biggest repairs , looks like the truck held up Farley well.

Transmissions (4) are probably the costiest repairs. VP44s (5 or 6) can add up too. I tend too break them while they are still under warranty though. As far as the motor goes I changed the head gasket twice. I probably should have used head studs the first time and I could have avoided the second time.
