I dunno about you, but that "C" logo on the fender is just sick and wrong.

Oh great, and here it is on the valve cover...:(

Boy that is one ugly ride

If Nissan sticks the 2.8L Cummins in the Frontier it will force Toyota to install their 3.0L TDI in the Tacoma. I see it as a win-win since GM announced the new Colorado will have the 2.8L Duramax.

They are only copying what Dodge has gotten right sense 1989. Like Ford is.

Looks like it's for a 16 year old.......too bad they think they have to flash it up so much to sell it...

patdaly 02-07-2014 11:15 AM

They just flashed it up because it is a auto show concept.

Yea, I am a possible buyer, make no mistake about it.

I guess that explains the stupid one wheel orange and the other one gray and all the ugly striping [laugh] Could be a nice looking truck if the designer wasn't color blind ;)

From what I've read it's a 5.0 liter Cummings goin in the nissian

Dr.Dizzle 02-07-2014 03:51 PM

I highly doubt that you read it that way!

RR1, this is the Frontier, not the Titan.

What is the MTBF rating on this engine?

Will this Cummins be a throw away engine or will it have the durability of a 12-valve?

Don't think I would ever get one at least as long as my truck is still on the road.

Jim

That would be cool in an Xterra platform....

Though I wouldn't buy one for at least 10 years down the road.

If it was built for an industrial application then stuck in the truck, I'd imagine it would be pretty good. If it was built for sticking in a truck, who knows?

They should have pimped it in a revamped crew cab Dodge Dakota. I'd buy it.

When we were stationed in Japan I owned an Isuzu Wizard 3.1TD, the 4JG2 motor. Really enjoyed tootling around in a small diesel with 4.56 gears :peel: I got 23-26mpg depending on how I drove it. I did not get into any engine modifications then. I touched nothing other than change the oil ad keep fluids topped off. The stringent POV/JCI law over there was a web I had no intention of walking into. Originally my first choice was the Hilux diesel pickup, but in our area I could not find one, only the Hilux 4runner style. No thanks, everybody and their dog had a maroon colored one. My Wizard worked out well, especially hauling around a dog and random road/rec trips.

What I like is the Cummins, the fender flairs and two rear doors. What I'm not partial to is the color scheme. If the roof racks are functional, the would be ok.
