Most scholarships are listed at the school of your choice, and there are many others. Do you have college placement counselor in your highschool? They will have tons of ideas for scholarships and grants based on your grades, choice of study, and parents income level. Apply for everything you can, but at the end of the day you will need to take out student loans to pick up the slack between the scholorships and the tuition costs. These loans are based on your parents income and your financial situation also. Payments don't start until you graduate or quit school.

Have you taken your SAT's yet? They can help with scholarships alittle also.

Good luck! Study hard! You are going into a great career oportunity.

What are some of the schools you are looking at? Any vo-tech education. Most diesel programs will give scholarships to students from Vo-techs.

I went thru the Oklahoma State University program ( Heavy Truck Program) sponsored by Freightliner. I was able to receive scholarships with no Vo-tech experience due to grades and applying for all that I could apply for.

Pell Grants helped a bunch too.

If you want to "customize" things some times, then get a job at one of the JD Stores around here. They don't fix anything, just talk about it, a lot.

They actually told (a new customer of ours, go figure) that they WILL NOT work on any hay baler they sell, they don't have anyone that knows how . I thought that's why they offer service schools?

I wish I was kiddin', but I'm not,
Chris

ON EDIT:
I forgot why I really posted. I don't know anything about the schollarships for UNO, but I do know quite a few people that go there. They love it, and are about to finish up in a few weeks. I'll ask a few of them about schollarships this weekend for ya!

HeHe, sounds like some of the stuff me and my buddy do in our shop.

You'd think that in an 80'x80' fully stocked and heated shop we would do things the correct way...NOPE. It always "hurry up, get it done, take it for a ride, then bring it back and fix it the way we should have the first time."

Oh well, lots o' fun at least.
Chris

Oh yeah, that buddy comes home from school LATE tonight, so I'll talk to him a bit this weekend (maybe for some diesel wrenchin' )
