Wish I had a reg cab truck. I don't use the back seat other than for junk, and the reg cabs heat up the cab sooooo much faster in the winter time. One day I'll have one, but that may be several years out now.

I missed buying a 98 12 valve regular cab, missed it by a day , that thing was slick.

My 12 valve quad cab works for me though, the rear bench means that for three months I have easy access to my bow , although there are times that I wish for a regular bed, just not while driving in town.

If you can though, get a 1st gen regular cab with a gun rack and some silver lady mudflaps, nothing looks better than that

I'm very happy with my 06, but there are many a times when I wish I had a quad cab or I would trade for one of the same model year. It's a problem only really when I start to have kids.

It's almost always just me in the truck. I like having an 8' bed but not having a long truck. It's nice to load plywood and be able to shut the tailgate. I'm not one to haul a bunch of extra junk in the cab with me so it's plenty of room. I'm 50 yo and have never had anything but reg cabs.
Except that S-10 but that's not a real truck

I love my reg cab 1st gen! I have always loved the reg cab. They look more in proportion. Although I think I am coming round to the idea of a Mega Cab!

I think one of the reaosns they are hard to find is that people are holding on to them. Every one I found on E-bay said its was a rare two door or single cab and that it was going fast. plus they are alwyas used harder than x-cab's. The larger cabs tend to be family trucks, a comprimise between the minivan and a truck. While reg cabs tend to be work or fleet vehicles.

Shoot, look at todays auto makers, the manual tranny and reg cab are becoming things of the past. Nissan doesn't even offer one, nor does Yota if I am not mistaken? They have become speacial order items. Every rig on the lot here is a 4 door auto no matter what model or engine combo.

Oh well, There is somthing attractive about seeing a lifted megacab pulling up to the soccer fields and an army of kids and a little lady who needs a ladder to get in, hop out.

I have to agree if you are shelling out 55k for a truck might as well have it all. But still,

Reg cabs forever!!!!

Well, thats my .02

D-C out!

I saw one the other day for sale on a trailer. Just the cab. By the looks of it, I would imagine it's still for sale. Looked like it had been beat with several ugly sticks. Had a hard time finding a spot that didn't have a dent or rust.

You have a hard time finding a new one, let alone used. The dealers seem to prefer not to stock them, except for a few bare bones work trucks. When you add in certain must have options, the rarity factor skyrockets. I wanted a 6 spd CTD reg cab long bed 4x4 SLT with anti-spin in molten red. Hah! Fat chance of anything but a factory order, and it was way too late to do that for an '05.

I did a nationwide search. We ended up finding one about 100 miles away in a different, but acceptable color.

You can add me to the reg.cab roll call.
No offense, but to me a pickup is reg cab, anything else is a "crossover/suv thingy". The profile ain't right.

Just wife and one skinny daughter, so reg cab works for me.

If you don't special order one (I am), they come in ST trim, with vinyl seats and pretty bare bones, a work truck.
I live so far in the boonies, no one ever visits me, so I don't need to haul guests around in it. I have a car for that if necessary.
