Question about Service Dept

If you guys have been put off by a dealers service dept more than once what have you done to rectify the situation. I have been having an A/C issue with my 03 and took the truck in on a saturday(610) to have them look at it, instead they put the wrong ticket and I got the oil changed. Not a biggie except I had just had it done a week and half before. Well they actually looked at the A/C and needed to order a part for it. Rec'd a phone call stating that the part will be in on Tues. Called on monday and informed them that the truck would be available for the repair on friday (I work nights and need a vehicle), they call on tuesday and want to kknow when I can bring in the truck, I remind them that I am bringing it in on Fri. Fri comes and I drop off the truck at 9:30am, at 1:30pm I receive a call stating that they did not know that the A/C guy was in training that day. So I get the truck and decide I want to talk to someone in charge just to kind of express some dissatisfaction. Anyways I am waiting for the GM and he shows up and gives me a free cooler (free deal to entice past buyers to trade in old vehicles, whole other rant) and I start to tell him about my issue, and he totally blows me off to talk with one of the salesman. So after waiting about 10 minutes or so and I am super PO'd and I walk out because I am super tired also because I have not slept in almost 24 hours. So now my question is what would you do to get your frustrations taken care of by the dealership. Some have said to contact dodge, others have said to go to another dealer. Thanks for reading my rant and I welcome your thoughts.

Chad

I would say BOTH. Call the DC hotline and go to another dealer.

Sounds like this dealer doesn't care if it has your business, i'd go find a dealer that does.

When you take your truck to the dealer DC usually sends back a questionaire for you to fill out..

I saved mine and every time I walk in for service I have it in my hand.. they always seem to see it and do all for me that they can...

I guess these things really matter to the dealers..

Bypass GM, worthless worm, find out owners contact information and call him personally. Tell him you were completely disappointed in your recent service visit and you would like to fill out a CSI report. Then tell him that unless the situation is taken care of you will go somewhere else and direct all friends, relatives, and anyone else away from his dealership. The CSI is some kind of Customer Satisfaction Index....or something, they always tell us here about our CSI numbers and every month....up, down...gotta get the CSI up. Hurts the dealer basically if they have crappy CSI numbers.
