what is the percent of dodge diesels on the road with programmers?

here is y i ask

i was workin on some guys dodge diesel today and i ask him if he had a programmer or anything on his truck?
the guy looked at me and said whats a programmer ,what do ya mean?

i guess i should not assume everyone on the planet that has a diesel knows about bombing.

btw the guy was like 30? lol

 

I couldn't even begin to speculate on that but I can tell you that 100% of my 1 Dodge Cummins trucks have them. And so will all my future trucks.

 

I find unless they are into the auto sence they have no clue what a programer is or what it does. The Guys I hang with here at home the QMCC are all stang heads and understand the programs, but some guys at work don't. I have a guy that works for me that has a Titin with a Stillen super chager and when we talk some of the guys around us get a glassey look and this face.

 

it seems like out here every personal use dodge cummins i see has atleast 4 inch exhaust but im not sure about a programmer since they seem to be slower up hills. its kind of amazing how many cummins owners dont realize what they would gain with a simple 30 HP mileage box/programmer.

 

when you look at the fact that most personal use trucks dont have programmers
normal people dont know about programmers/chips/box
and the market is flooded with companys selling programmers
but dodge only made so many trucks
all this makes me wonder?
so
either dodge made an unbelievable amount of trucks b-cause i think everyone i know has a box or some people lead a very sheltered life and ive come 2 the end of the internet

and
dont forget that you will always meet someone who knows a guy that has a 1000 hp dodge at his house
