General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

Think that was the one that was designed run on all kinds of fuel including finely ground coal dust mixed with water.

One of the reasons I like state and county fairs is to watch and listen to those old engines run!

Cool video,

I hear that GM is bringing back the Vega, and this engine design is the only engine available....

I have a 1916 3HP Fairbanks-Morse "oil engine" It was designed to run on Kerosene but start on Gasoline. I run gas in it since the compression has dropped a bit in 96 years. It sounds much like this one when running. It's governed at 450 RPM and weighs about 450 lbs.
