NHTSA investigating Dodge transmissions...
I never had a problem with my truck doing this, but years ago I drove a souped up Firebird that did it. I came home from work and parked in the driveway, about 2 hours later a nice lady knocked on my door and asked if that was my car in the middle of the road
That car never had the opportunity to do it again as I learned that day why they call it a "Parking Brake"
Now using the parking brake is as automatic for me as putting on the seat belt, I do it with out even thinking of it.

be sure to check cables!!!
Also be sure to check your parking brake cable. I parked my truck in front of my house left it running loaded with bees and forklift on trailer. Went in to house to grab a soda and something to eat on the go just as I opened the fridge I heard the sound of the froklift bouncing on the trailer. Looked out the window and my truck was in the neighbor's field after going through their fence. Cable snapped, neighbor laughed his *** off. Now I check brake cable at stress points every oil change. No bees were spilled but they were not very happy truck wentoff the side of the road over the ditch.
