I priced out comparable equipted 2500 & a 3500 srw and it was only $600 more (invoice) for the 1 ton. For that $600, you get 1100 lb more payload and will see that cash, or most of it, at resale. I believe cab lights are standard with the 3500, from another DTR thread, as well.

Dieselnewbie, If you don't really need the dual wheels for a heavy gooseneck or 5'er, I would sugget you consider getting a 3500 SRW if you want a 3500. The reasons are you you only have to replace 4 tires instead of 6and in my experience in these parts when you get into a slick (from snow, mud or loose dirt) situation, even with 4WD, a dually will have more traction problems. Something to think about if you are going to plow snow with it or drive it everyday in the snow.
