My tractors and the new low sulfur diesel question?

Got a few older tractors and I'm wondering if I should worry about lack of lube in the newer diesel fuels.

I usually get 10-15 gallons at a time from the local gas station since I'm not using them much right now I really don't want to go buy a drum of the off road stuff.

Got any opinions?

I would add some stanadyne or some type of lubricity formula just for piece of mind if not for real insurance.

My CAV pump on my Super 90 has started leaking around the butterfly seal into the crankcase and the o-rings and top gaskets are leaking. Pretty much what the Cummins tech article said would happen to the carter lift pumps. I've got to find a CAV parts dealer somewhere and get seals for it.

I would run offroad as long as I could with any tractor. If you don't have a on site tank just get a 55 gallon drum and a $20.00 rotary hand pump from Harbor frieght or Tractor supply and store it yourself.

yeah, but how long will 55 gallons stay good for without moisture invading. The tractors and dozers are put up until I get time to do some land clearing. Maybe a year or two.
