Mopar vs. Cummins crossreference

Does anyone have a cross reference for Mopar to Cummins fuel filter part number? I had a buddy of mine pick me up a filter at the local cummins shop (as he is friends w/ the parts mgr) for $9.50. To avoid loosing his contact for parts he told the guy it was for his truck wich is a 01 as opposed to my 98.5. This being the first filter I have replaced myself on this rig I do not know if it is the right filter. The part number on the housing doesnt match the number on the filter box but I am assuming that it is mopar vs fleetgaurd/cummins. Anyhow I dont care to take it apart until I am sure I have the right part. I have been told however that if it isnt the right filter he will buy it back from me for his rig and we will get the right one.

The different numbers are about half way down this page
http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/Facts/98ISBspecs.html

According to it the '98.5 takes a different filter than the '01

They're also available on OUR site here.

The Tech Facts button in the header is your path to lots of good information.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the only real difference cosmetic and maybe burst press. They'll all interchange won't they?
