My boss is looking to buy a Izuzu diesel for a work truck its a 1999 with 176000 miles. Inline 6 I believe any info on these trucks would be great.

 

Don't know about the cab over Isuzu except they ride rough and are noisy little vibrators. I've never heard anyone say they're not reliable though. I owned an '84 Isuzu P'up for 11yrs. It had a 2.2L 4cyl diesel. It was a hefty chunk of little iron with Bosch injection. With 288k + on the clock, the only trouble with it was u-joints and two a/c compressors and evaporators. It was a good little truck. And I mean little... 38mpg empty hwy and it would tow 3500 lbs like it was "really" back there. I knew it was back there and never forgot it was back there.
Are you sure it's not the big inline 4? Isuzu makes an motor comparable to the little Cummins B series inline 4 that comes in Ford Superduty's in South America. Imagine the emtpy mileage!
