I was doing a little reading here this morning and followed a link over to the TSB's at Geno's. While I was there I decided to look at the list for my truck, very interesting. This may be old news for most of you but it was new to me so I'll share. First is this one http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2007/18-022-07.htm It calls for enhancements which include tracking if you do not respond to the WIF (water in fuel) light. If I understand this correctly, once the WIF is activated, you have 500 miles to respond to it or the computer logs that info (P0169). I personally don't think I've ever had the WIF activate on any of my CTD equipped Dodges but some folks do. If you're one of them, don't drag around about addressing that warning. Besides the obvious possibility of injector, pump and engine damage, the lack of action on your part could cause you warranty issues.
Next on the list is http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2007/18-030-07.htm for the 07's. This one temporarily limits engine rpm's while the vehicle is in park or neutral until a time delay has been met. It applies to both manual and automatics and both the 5.9's and the 6.7's. The TSB includes a table with the parameters on it.

I don't think so, but the computer does impose limits on the max rpm's available until it counts down. The chart with the delays are in the TSB. Giving it just a moment isn't a bad idea though.
There have been many people get the P0169 code WITHOUT the light coming on. Maybe a flaw in the light? How could they ever hold you responsible for something like that? You can get codes that do not set off lights, they reset after so many key clicks, you'd never know you had them. Many people do not even check their trucks for codes and don't know how to check for them.
