interesting conversion

I don't know how to provide a link but there is a 73 chevy 6x6 on ebay with a 8.3L turbodiesel and a fuller 13 speed. This truck is huge, dual tandems and all. Looks like it could pull a semi-trailer. Maybe someone with better computer knowledge can post the link.

That looks like someone's project that started running low on junkyard parts.

How can that guy say it has a 8.3L turbo diesel when it very clearly not turbo charged in the pics.

I just love the double grille use, and the extra, headlight stuffed at the botom, six headlights thas rich ...... sound like there would be room to improve on that 8.3, 205 hp and 442 tq? if any of us here bought it, those numbers would surely change.

For that matter, does anyone even know if it'll move under it's own power?

Nope, that's a V8 Detroit. Some guys say they're reasonably reliable. Doesn't make too much power for the size of it. Read an article a while back saying some people had been replacing those with Cummins 5.9s and it worked better.
