I love my truck!

Drove my buddy's 99 PSD about 150 miles tonight. F350 crew cab long bed 4x4, has 285/75/16 BFG AT's on it. That thing is a hog. It rides nice, but felt a lot bigger and heavier and slower than mine. The throttle response is not even comparable. That's where the hog part comes in. You have to floor it to get any response out of the truck. I know that truck has a lot of power, I've seen it in action before, but fast and/or responsive it is NOT. I sure like my CTD. He does too, actually.

Apples to oranges, my friend. The PSDs don't stand a chance after being spoiled by the sweet song of a Cummins ISB. Apples to oranges.

Yup Cummins definately has more response. I've driven the 7.3's and the 6.0's. Either one takes forever to get the same power the cummins does. What REALLY bugs me though is when you rev a diesel you expect a 'bark' or a diesel-like sound and you get nothing out of a PSD. It's very disappointing to say the least.

As it's been said before... a V-8 is like a gasser with a bad knock.

Now thats funny I have never heard that before but it makes so much more sense. That being said I just got to pull the worst hill on my side of oregon and before I did any thing to the truck stock I could pull it ok in 5th gear floored at about ohhh 45ish 50ish since I added a few goodies I pulled that hill last night with two horses n my bigger trailer with throttle left and 55-60mph in 5th with lots of pedal left and right at 1000* on the pyro back to the topic at hand my buddy had a 89 Ford with the 7.3 with a banks kit turbo and that truck was a turd the bank never worked right i think he made 2lbs of boost once and when he pull that hill with the trailer I have now it would take him forever to get to the top and were talking like 35-40mph it was sad he was so disapointed with his truck but still wont switch to dodge because he "loves ford" course this hill were talking about is 5 or 6 miles strait up and its steeper than a cows face
