General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

70% Those darn Pulleys! I also got the gear drives wrong on the multiple choice...Reversed 2 and it caused the rest to be wrong. The balloons got me also, I went in thinking more surface area = more pressure, but it actually displaces pressure. GRRR!

As for the water and tube one, the water is restricted before it gets to tube #2 so the path of least resistance would be Tube #1, the aftermath of pressure would take the next path of least resistance being tube #2.

Same as the 2 lamp question, electricity follows the path of least resistance, that's why the 3rd lamp won't light even though there is power to it.

I can't remember exactly, but at the end you can click to review or something and it will tell you which questions and areas you didn't perform so well on.

I didn't like the one with the liquids cooling on the glasses. Tall and skinny can still have more surface area than short and fat . . .

Surface area is the area subject to air. Skinny won't have near as much as a wider glass. The opening is really all that they are looking at in that one. Yes....tall and skinny can have more volume, but surface area is different.
